a world of nature*

Beautiful works by photographer and textile designer Marielle Leenders.Maybe you have seen her works on Bloom!, Li Edelkoort's review on flowers(one of my favorite review!. Her works(textiles and photos) are all about nature. Very interesting: the new developed materials with pressing techniques, you can see them on Marielle Leenders' site!

3191*

Many people know 3191 a year of mornings , but I want to feature here, because this blog try to feature works done with passion and heart and in the section photo of heart* I tries to feature photo projects (like Flower project or Look at me,if you have missed them, check them out!) that express positive feelings and 3191 succeeds in doing this every morning.
3191 a year of mornings is the photoblog of two friends, Stephanie and Mav, who live 3191 miles apart. They love to wake up early in the morning. To feel more closer, these friends post every day a photo with simple details of their everyday life.
3191 photos express the beauty in the little things: a flower, coloured ballons in the sky,breakfast....I love them, they make me feel relaxed and ...light!!!
3191 is a relaxed moment with morning coffee: to see every day!
Have a nice sunday!

people have the flowers!*

photo (c) Kiyotaka Hatanaka

When I saw "Flower project" by Kiyotaka Hatanaka , I felt in love with it. I think that "Flower project" photos, so simple and natural, express the interior beauty of the shooted people.People seems to have given up the external appearance and the agressivity; they express only a sort of interior beauty and calm.
This photo project was born in Columbia flower market, east London. Kiyotaka went there and the atmosphere was so nice that he wanted to try finding where it comes
from. Then he started taking portraits of people carrying flowers and plants, just bought.
According to Kiyotaka, getting flowers for someone(a friend, a girl friend, the family, etc) is a very beautiful habit: it is thinking of someone with
warm heart. In Columbia flower market Kiyotaka realized this: if all the people in the world thought of someone, the things would go well. What have I to say more? I love this way of thinking and for that I love Kiyotaka's photography so much!

look at me*

Look at me: per nostalgici e sognatori.

Look at me project is a collection of photos found on the streets, or stacked in a box, bought cheap at a flea market. The project started with a few photos found by Frederic Bonn and Zoe Deleu in a Paris street in 1998. Frederic Bonn built the site in 2001 and started taking submission from other people. Now the collection contains 612 photos. I think the beauty of this project is that photos thrown away by someone regain dignity and life in a project of collective memory. Moreover from the aesthetic point of view, there's a hidden beauty behind old photos: the clothes (urban clothes as well as country clothes), old environments, the papers and their faded colours talk about life.
Look at me: for homesick and dreamers.
