Lotte Van Laatum è una talentuosa dutch designer che ha frequentato il master di Humanitarian design alla Design Academy di Eindhoven , vera fucina di talenti. I valori umani sono centrali nei progetti di Lotte. A me piace molto il progetto Bloei!
Il punto di partenza del progetto Bloei! è la comunità femminile turca che vive in Olanda dagli anni '70. Lotte ha lavorato con 10 donne turche sull'Oya , una decorazione fatta a crochet che le donne usano ancora adesso come elemento decorativo del velo. Nel progetto di Lotte, l'Oya diventa un nuovo prodotto contemporaneo sotto forma di collane, spille e sciarpe o come elemento decorativo di cuscini e vasi. Bloei! diventa un mezzo per l'integrazione delle donne turche in Olanda. I prodotti del progetto Bloei! si possono acquistare online.

Lotte Van Laatum is a talented Dutch designer who attended the master of Humanitarian Design at Design Academy of Eindhoven, a source of talented designers. Human values are the focus of Lotte's projects. I especially love Bloei! project.
The starting point of Bloei! project is the turkish women community that lives in The Netherlands from the '70. Bloei! is about turkish women craft. Lotte has worked with 10 turkish women on the Oya (the edging around the veil made with crochet) that can be innovated into a contemporary product that can find a place in the Netherlands. Bloei! has 2 collection: one for the body (necklaces, broches and scarves) and one for the home(cushions and ornament for the vases). Bloei! can be a benefit for turkish-dutch women that feel more at home in the Dutch society.
