signe tolstrup's oneiric world*

Danish designer Signe Tolstrup knows well the feminine, sensual, ethereal side of women. Her lingerie and lounge clothes Afterwear collection brings us in a poetic, feminine, oneiric world. The mood is fresh and the lightness of the fabrics, with pale colors, makes this collection very impressive. Moreover, the oneiric illustrations on the Signe Tolstrup website are very beautiful.

la linea: a contemporary Chesterfield!*

For little spaces, La linea by Merel Karhof is armchairs, pouf, sofa, bed, chair. The modules of La linea are upholstered with white leather and buttons: La linea reminds me of Chesterfield sofa, it can be seen as a deconstructed contemporary Chesterfield sofa!

freedom of creation*

Freedom of Creation (I love the company's name:freedom of creation is the aspiration of every designer!) is a Amsterdam based design company specialized in designing for Rapid Manufacturing.
Freedom of Creation as well as designing stunning interior products (Dahlia light, Macedonia tray, etc) designs laser sintered textiles that can offer a lot of use possibilities.
I find very beautiful and interesting their V-bag (designed by Jiri Evenhuis/Janne Kyttanen)that is based on the concept by Jiri Evenhuis of Rapid Manufactured Textiles. I love V-bag's pattern that is inspired by armours of medieval knights.

knitting buildings*

images (c) the knitting site

Via
Do knit yourself I've found Knitting site: it is an artists group that breaks all the rules of building sites and knitting. The Knitting site's idea is " While some people think that the act of building should be hidden behind screens, we like building site stuff - nets and ropes and scaffolding. We knit with them. And while some people think knitting is to remain behind walls, we build walls that are knitted". I love also Knitting site's idea to get people to work together pleasurably: freestyling and improvising!

typotheque*

Typotheque is a type foundry based in The Hague, the Netherlands, run by Johanna Biľak and Peter Biľak developing and marketing original fonts for the Mac and PC. Their websites is very inspiring, in the article section there ample material about type, design and related matters. Moreover, they edit DOT DOT DOT magazine that covers design, art, graphics, film. I didn't see live this magazine, but its stunning covers promise the best ( I've often bought magazines on internet, judging them only by the covers!).Love also their Dutch sky t-shirt!

free-climbing wall=stairs*

Ivy

Heatwave radiator

Joris Laarman, young but already well-known designer(he made the Heatwave radiator)has designed Ivy,a wall decoration that works as a free-climbing wall to break the daily routine...Ivy is "an ode to freedom and meaning"! Ivy has been installed as an alternative stair for the Smalle Haven appartment complex in Eindhoven to use instead of elevator or stairs and to make...exercises!
